Labor Day P.1 - Road Trip and New Holland

For Labor Day weekend we headed up to Michigan. Ryan, Marissa, Micah and I joined John and Susan at the Le Peau lakehouse in Fremont.

Originally, our Subaru was hauling 7 creatures: Five humans and two dogs. Aaron and Lenore were going to meet up with us later in the weekend, so we had Miss Zoe with us. Luckily, we went down to 4 humans and 2 dogs, which made for an easier ride for us (and Micah, who went in the Deconstanza card). Zoe found a comfy seat on Marissa's pillow and was a dream for the majority of the ride. Vio found her home in the cushy "way back" of the car.

On the way up to Fremont we stopped at the New Holland Brewery in Holland. Their motto, "Brewer of art in fermented form," is right on. I had the absolutely tasty Dragon's Milk Stout. On the way out, we picked up two "growlers" to take back to the lakehouse. No one was sloshed, but there are some silly pictures...all for entertainment value on the blog, I swear!
