It seemed about time for Violet's spring cleaning, or grooming as the case may be. Since her adult fur started growing in, she's been getting increasingly matted and, after Sunday's romp in the dog park things only got more tangled.
So today, we took her into Petsmart to get an extreme makeover—little did we realize how extreme it would be. As you can tell from the before and after pictures, she's just so small! It's like she just got out of the bath, but all the time.
Heath thinks she looks like a lamb. Very fitting for Easter.

Caught Up! Violet's 1st trip to the dog park...
Catch Up Part 4: Mom's Surgery
So, as some of you know, my mother was diagnosed with thyroid cancer just about a month ago. The cancer is very treatable—one of the best to have—but it required a fairly speedy surgery.
I decided to go home and be there with her for the surgery and some of the recovery time. The good news is: Everything went really well!
She's healing and seems in good spirits, and we're so thankful that God has brought her through this as quickly as he has. Continue to pray for her during the recovery process.
Mom, pre-op. She begged me not to take this picture, but this is payback for a certain picture she took of me on the autostrada in Italy years ago. Trust me!
Tiara and I spent an ungodly amount of time together in the hospital—most of it laughing...
I'm glad we were there together, Badji!

Catch Up Part 3: TK and Sarah Wedding
While Thais was chained to a dental conference in Chicago, Heath traveled with Aaron and Lenore to Jamestown, NY, so that they could all share in TK and Sarah's wedding celebration. It was a gorgeous wedding and we couldn't be happier for our friends.
Here's to a long and happy life together!
Aaron and Lenore are willing to car trip with Heath—that's friendship!
Woo hoo!
The handsome groom
Sarah and her father
The beautiful bride
Exchanging vows
Now pronounced man and wife
The dapper Daigles, Andrew and Amy
TK and Sarah looking very happy
Aaron and Lenore
(one of the only pictures Heath took where he wasn't playing 'photojournalist' and actually got a smile instead of nostrils)
The ResCov shot! All the people who came out to celebrate with Mr. and Mrs. Johnson
Heath and the happy couple

Catch Up Part 2: Valentine's Day
After a lovely dinner the night of at Dunlay's on Clark, Heath arranged a romantic weekend getaway at the downtown Hyatt. In addition to the extremely comfortable bed and beautiful views, we took full advantage of the cable which we are too cheap and too busy to enjoy at home.
It was a fantastic evening!

Hi all,
It's been kind of a hectic past couple of weeks, but we promise to catch up on posting in the next day or so.
Sorry for the delay!
